A-REIT is managed by Ascendas Funds Management Limited (AFM), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ascendas.
The principal objectives of AFM are to deliver stable distributions to unit-holders of A-REIT and achieve long-term growth in the net asset value per unit of A-REIT. AFM intends to achieve these objectives through implementing its investment and growth strategies.
Investment Strategy
The investment strategy of AFM is to invest in a diverse portfolio of quality business park (including science park), hi-tech and light industrial properties, distribution and logistics centres and warehouse retail properties in Singapore.
AFM plans to achieve distribution growth and to enhance the value of A-REIT's property portfolio over time through a combination of the following strategies:

Organic growth strategy - actively managing the A-REIT properties in order to maintain or improve occupancy levels and net property income

Investment strategy - selectively develop and acquire high quality properties in suitable locations that meet AFM's investment criteria
•
Financing strategy - employing appropriate debt and equity financing policies and managing interest rate risk
In addition, A-REIT could benefit from acquisition opportunities that arise from Ascendas’ portfolio of quality properties. AFM will ascertain and evaluate such properties objectively to determine if they are suitable investment opportunities for A-REIT.
